10-10-07....ok I have not updated in a
bit and I am tired....so here is a list of
general news...

1. sleeping ghost is getting done..that
is the new cd
2. we played at delta of venus with
silver apples..that was very cool..good
looking audience to boot...silver apples
was just simeon..it was good...techno?
2.5...we played at the charred dog
house...always a good time..thanks

3. we played at woodstocks
pizza...and played a loud set ..it was
fun..
4. we played on the roof of the
Natsoulas gallery in Davis as a
soundtrack to a performance by the
HorseCow troop...we got a bare nipple
from a girl during our set...
5. the new band cd is coming out soon
too..That is art lessing and the Flower
VAto...no title yet but it will be a good
one......I must sleep...

WE CRASHED THE HALLELUWAH
fest!!! and got to hang with Damo
Suzuki for a bit......Boy I was thinking
the whole time we were watching the
fest how I would love to play there..and
then while taking a nap in the van I
decided that I was not leaving Portland
without playing one more time for the
road especially here at this fest. So
after hanging out with Richard Tracy
and having him tell us that he is a
hustler and we should be too..I made
up my mind to get on the bill even
though I new that many bands had
been rejected..well needless to say the
stars were in the right place and that
door opened for us this night.....fargin
A...Chantelle was the woman in charge
and after I told her where we were from
and why we wanted to play...and that
we needed no sound person...which is
fine because the woman doing sound
for the festival was as good as deaf
..Chantelle gave in and told us to start
right when the second to the last band
stops....and so we did...we played to
our biggest crowd to date...there was
easily about 200 people watching....we
Got'em.....Thank you Chantelle...

So we hung out with Richard Tracy in
Centralia before heading back to
Portland for the Halleluwah
Festival...the trip to Seattle was not
worth it although Rob from Climax
Golden Twins set us up for the night
and that was super awesome......and
Richard always has wise things to say

8-31-07

Ok this update is long over due...

so we are back from our little tour. It
was very cool and I thank everyone
who was cool..that being said here is a
quick recap....we left Sacto at about
4:30 am/////drove and drove and
drove...almost straight through to
Portland...we stopped in Dunsmir for
the water fall viewing thing ....and then
off to Portland. we got there by 2:30
or something...hung out and then
played the Towne Lounge show. That
show went really well...there was a
great turnout and good support.....and
then we went back to Lori's house and
drank and funned for the remainder of
the night.....the next day we were all a
bit hungover and eventually made our
way to food ...then we bid good luck to
The Agent Ribbons girls Natalie and
Loren...and Jerry P.   and we headed
up to Seatttle for a gig that night.....we
played at this place called the SS
MArie antoinette...It was apparrently
some kind of art space doomed for the
wrecking ball... this was to be one of
the last shows there....we found out
later that Flipper was playing that
night..so no one showed up .but we did
our thing anyway...The CLimax
GOlden Twins followed our sets and
they are always good....but the fillafel
at 230 in the morning made it all worth
it.......crashed out had nightmares and
headed to Centralia to hang out with
the local outsider artist and fellowfreak

Well We are about to take off to
Portland for our mini tour. We will be
playing a show in the Towne Lounge
on the 30th. We will play with Agent
Ribbons...they are a great duo from
Sacramento.

they are kicking off a massive tour also
These two women have that sexy
country meets drug pusher vibe. You
will like them.

Also we get to play with Them
Themselves, or They That's in it. This
band features members of our old
band Eat the People. This should be
exciting ...EXCITING because they are
new and their songs scare me. THis
should be good

Then on the 31st we are heading to
Seattle for a show at the sinking yet
still entertaining SS Marie Antoinette.
We are playing with The Climax
Golden Twins..These guys are
soooper cool...we played with them
down in Sac....It will be good to see
them.

EAT THE PEOPLE........this was the
band I just spoke about...we played for
a couple of years before the thrill of
Portland enticed the two members
(Sally and Erin) of Them Themselves,
or They Thats in it (who are also
playing this night)...to move and stay
there. This is a ONE TIME DEAL
FOLKS...Eat the People is playing and
it's a rare performance....GO GO GO

8-27-07

So on Friday there was a performance
at the Brickhouse by a group of
Estonians. The Non-Grata troup did
something very cool....I am not sure
what it was but we were supposed to
play for them as they performed. Well
I couldn't make it but The Flower Vato
played for them...apparently it was
very awesome....Then the next night at
the Horse Cow compound, they did
another performence. This time the
Flower Vato could not make it so I
played for them. It was very fun...dusty
fun. They did this whole performance
involving fire and NUDE
WRESTLING.....I saw pictures of it
later.....too bad I couldn't watch....but I
was busy rockin!!!

Vato Played with the Non Grata troup
in San Francisco   for the Godwaffle
Noise Pancake hosted by Caroliner's
Grux.   It was a very cool thing. The
view was good and the people were all
very rad.....the Estonians cooked eggs
on one of their heads during our
set.....I love eggs!! And then we hung
out in S.F. with them after... serious
fun.....I am starting to think that being
in a touring band is only worth it if you
can hang out and be a tourist.....

We played a great set at the new
Space in Sacramento for the Sac
Audio waffle. I thought all of the sets
were good. Ours went off without a
hitch...the sound in there is odd but we
got a good response and all is well...I
think I burned a hole in one of the
chairs during our Ocho
song........WAFFLES!!

minute today twas fun.....

Horse cow = fun.... we played a set to
the Gallery Horse Cow last night. I
love playing to a drunken audience
most of the time. This night was no
exception....we interupted a hippy jam
with a loud blast ffrom the slidophone
through the PA...that kicked it off.
Then we shook the walls with some
beefedelic psyche to a great response
from our loving crowd...KM and SJ
showed up at the last couple for some
great support...we even had some
people down from the foothills to
see..thanks MG from Auburn and SC
from fiddletown.... all went well we evne
had a couple people crawling to the
music...nothing better than music that
makes you crawl.....then Later we
JAmmed again as our brains started
getting hazy...but I think we got some
on film......

7-28-07

Well we took a trip down to LA,
Hollywood to be exact for a noise fest.
It was called Noise Pollination..at the Ill
Corral.   We played as a guest in Night
Nurse and we also thanks to the
Kindness of Hailey( Nurse Toothtar
from night nurse), she went down with
us in the spacemobile) got to play a
short set of our own. We played a
version of our unrecorded track called
Ocho, space bass and death cello.
The response was good, from about
20 or more, but I felt like I was
panhandling when I went to sell some
cds afterwards. We didn't get paid for
this one....It was an interesting night
but the drive down was slightly jinxed
by Hailey's doll which we are convinced
is cursed. So we head this cluncking
sound that went away when the doll
went away. weird.. The trip was pretty
fun minus the Coalinga beef shit farm
that almost made us puke. be we got
back safely and just in time for the
Horse COw gig.
